It’s official! People living in a coastal town are more likely to be happy than those living in a similar home inland.
The findings are revealed in the recently published Rightmove ‘Happy at Home Index’ which is now in its tenth year and asks residents how they feel about where they live, as well as the factors which make them happy.
Andrew Bowes of North Bar Homes who are currently building the stunning Cherry Blossom Hill new homes development in Bridlington, said: “It doesn’t surprise me that living by the coast makes people happy and this is reflected in the general interest and number of reservations we are experiencing at Cherry Blossom Hill.
“Short stay trips to the coast have always been popular but now thanks to developments like Cherry Blossom Hill people can realise their dream of living near the sea, without having to compromise on accessibility to all the amenities which are essential for modern live. It really is the best of both worlds.’
On completion Cherry Blossom will comprise 54 new build homes including two and three bedroom semi-detached, three and four bedroom detached and two bedroom bungalows. The site is located less than two miles from Bridlington sea front, just minutes from the Old Town and is close to a choice of schools making it popular with families.
All homes in the first release are now fully reserved and the general release of phase two is scheduled for January 22nd.
Meanwhile other findings from the Rightmove ‘Happy at Home Index’ show that 69 per cent of people who moved in the last year chose to move to a different area and 64 per cent of those people who moved to a different area said they are happier in the area they now live, compared with where they have moved from.
